Accessibility statement
Saiba is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone. We are working to conform our public surfaces to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, in line with the EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102) for public-sector vendors.
Conformance status
Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Current status: partially conformant. Most of the site meets WCAG 2.1 AA. Some content does not yet fully conform — see Known limitations below. We track conformance on every quarterly review and ship fixes incrementally rather than waiting for a full re-platform.
How we test
- Manual keyboard-only navigation across primary user journeys (home, contact, blog, docs).
- Screen reader spot-checks with VoiceOver (macOS, iOS) and NVDA (Windows).
- Automated checks: axe-core, Lighthouse accessibility audit on each release.
- Reduced-motion preference honoured globally (see
prefers-reduced-motionhandling in our motion patterns).
Known limitations
We aim to be honest. The following are tracked and scheduled for remediation:
- Hero video plays automatically with a poster fallback — users with
prefers-reduced-motionsee the poster only, but a discrete play/pause control is not yet exposed. - Some interactive 3D / canvas components do not currently expose textual alternatives and are decorative-only; we are auditing for any informational content that needs a non-visual equivalent.
- Embedded blog content imported from third-party sources may not always meet AA contrast in code blocks; remediation is a quarter-by-quarter effort as posts are revisited.
- Form error messaging on the contact form is improving but does not yet associate every error with
aria-describedbyin all states.
